First topic message reminder :
President Obama will be conducting his first Twitter Townhall on Wednesday, July 6 at 2:00 pm, ET. The topic of this Twitter Townhall is the Economy and Jobs.
All questions for the President must be submitted in advance. Don't tweet? Ask your questions here and we will tweet them for you.
Please, ASK AWAY!!
Here are some examples of questions being tweeted now:

President Obama will be conducting his first Twitter Townhall on Wednesday, July 6 at 2:00 pm, ET. The topic of this Twitter Townhall is the Economy and Jobs.

- Please keep your questions short and to the point. Twitter has a max character capacity of 140. It is possible to tweet longer questions, but the ones that are on point will get the most attention.
Please keep the questions focused on the Townhall topic - jobs and the economy (which includes extensions of unemployment benefits).
Keep your questions tactful! We are all angry about the way our politicians have ignored us, but questions containing insults, partisan slurs, etc. don't get answered, therefore we will not tweet them. Please respect the fact that we are using our Twitter accounts to do this for you.
Off topic comments in this thread will be deleted. This is for the Townhall event only.

I have entered all the questions from yesterday and most of todays, if anyone else has questions, please post them here so they can be tweeted and retweeted, remember, questions will be reviewed before being asked of the President so it's best to be direct on Jobs and the Economy.
Hoping this will get us the answers we are looking for and for many a direct response from the President.

#AskObama What is being done to speed up the hiring process for veterans applying for federal jobs? Another jobless 99er veteran.

Yes they were indeed. So we fight again tomorrow. I for one have not choice. I also have to say, a little disappointed that we had more guests than members here today.

People wanted to cut welfare, defense and raise taxes. It was controlled a little to much. They told you to tweet and the pres of twitter made the final choice and chose 7 out of how many. I think these townhall meetings are more for twitter than for the public. You can always tweet to @whitehouse.

I want to point something out about twitter. When hashtags are used, twitter counts them and you bet someone is watching all the #jobs #589 #99ers and the #unemployment tags. Noise was made trust me.
The only way to make a real impact is to follow what WI did against walker and march. Reality is the unemployed are not a political voting force (at least that is what they believe) and we need to prove them wrong.
There is just not enough people doing enough to make an impact I read this all the time. This is one small group of people fighting against a problem that is much bigger than us.
One thing we don't do is give up, bash the process and worry about failing.
So what out of MILLIONS of tweets he choose 7 and 99ers was not mentioned. Wait till they tally all the #99er hashtags and #askobama. By the way who says we stop asking obama. Keep tweeting and re-tweeting. I have 3 profiles and used them all.

And those of us still committed to help for the long term unemployed and the 99ers will be tweeting and emailing and calling and faxing. It's the only thing we can do giving up now is not an option, sadly, for most of us.

Well, what's done is done. They will tally the hashtags and we will move on, but not give up. Hopefully, the interview with Reuters tomorrow will get us in front of the eye that need to see our real stories. I can hope for all of us.
