Here is your chance to get involved! Tell them your story, attend a rally, make your voice heard!

The Speakout for Good Jobs Now tour will feature stops in numerous cities across America giving Americans the chance to speak out about how the economy is affecting them. Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus will listen to what everyday Americans have to say and take that back to Washington with them as they continue to fight to reinvigorate the American Dream — the ability to put in a day’s hard work for good wages and benefits so we can provide our children with a better future.

I am emailing them our letter and tweeting as well. Please don't let this opportunity go. They are willing to help.

We basically have between July 5th - Aug. 5th to make everything and/or anything happen with regards to HR 589 or whatever other bill that would include adressing the long term unemployed with additional tier.
It appears the politicians are headed primarily to debate/discuss all their efforts on the budget and debt ceiling for the working days of July with their August 1st deadline for deciding on budget and with end of next week where they'll be agreeing on some type of short term extension on budget.
It'll be interesting to see what the two new commerce secretary of state and assistant deputy director do in short term with jobs crises after that being one of major issues discussed during the hearing yesterday on Cspan.

Please share your stories with them! Don't let this humanitarian crisis take a backseat to the 2012 elections and all the other business going on in Washington now. This should have been their Number One Priority! It wasn't because no one was reporting it, or wanted to listen. Now they do!DesperateInRI wrote:Here is your chance to get involved! Please, we have to help ourselves, it is obvious that the majority of our elected officials have no intention of addressing this situation at all. It needs to go viral! Help make this happen by sharing your story!

This should be supported in droves the more media attention they get the more they will do something for us. If there isn't a big turnout we will look like bad people; regardless of party this needs to be supported
