Sorry to hear that cablab Hopefully it wont be too long before you find work.

Unfortunately for me, and in spite of GOP claims to the contrary, a job did not magically appear for me when the unemployment ran out.

It's now been 6 months without any. I barely scrape by with some part-time work and was even denied food stamps.

know how you all feel, been unemployed since 10/08 have to wait another 18 months before i can apply for social security

It is hard to hear politicians and experts spouting theory and statistics, they have no idea what it is like. I have had a bit of humbling myself and see things a little different.

cablab, it's not a good day. Many of us here know. One year and two weeks for me. As Miss Displaced stated, that dream job, or nightmare job didn't just appear for me either contrary to all claims that they do. Stay with us for support and keep trying as we all do and hope and pray someone with the power to create jobs decides that there really is a crisis in this country and it has little to do with just extending benefits and deficits and repealing healthcare, it's that we are sinking quickly back into the Depression and it may last longer than the last one.
