Illegal Immigrants Pay More Taxes Than Many Top U.S. Corporations
According to the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy (itepnet.org), undocumented workers paid billions in state and local taxes last year. GE, remember, paid NOTHING. Though conservatives will likely put ITEP alongside FactCheck and PolitiFact as liberal propaganda machines, ITEP is, as the NY Daily News reports, “a prestigious, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization that works on federal, state and local tax policy issues.”

Corporations including GE remind me of the Wizard of Oz, as in don't look behind the curtain at the real facts! We are played for such FOOLS!

Re: Illegal Immigrants Pay More Taxes Than Many Top U.S. Corporations
I dislike the illegals who come here only to sponge. I've seen quite a few of them. I also dislike those who take jobs away from American citizens. I don't think this is the case with every illegal and many do come here to do jobs Americans won't do like farming.
However, I dislike corporations not paying any tax because unlike the illegals (who mostly come here to support their families) the only objective of a corporation is to make money. Most of them aren't out there to promote the greater good of man. The head people want to be richer and richer and don't care who they hurt in the process, including making people poorer and making money from that.
I find it disgusting and immoral that corporations make money off the Americans, yet screw them by sending jobs overseas. That WE give them tax breaks or bonuses to send OUR jobs overseas.

Re: Illegal Immigrants Pay More Taxes Than Many Top U.S. Corporations
The problem with illegal immigrants is the same we have with any issue we try to solve. We always go after the end user, the lowest person on the totem pole. It is illogical and defies common sense. If we want to stop illegal immigrants having jobs why don't we make it to where no employer would take the risk? Why don't we put landscapers in jail who won't hire me because they can hire some poor illegal for $200 a week? This is how the U.K. does it. Employers there, for the most part, will not hire someone without a work visa but you can't get a work visa with out having a job offer. Business there has a sense of patriotism to their country that our big business doesn't.
Here you have "patriots" who won't even think of hiring Americans to do work. They are only tea party patriots when it comes to paying less taxes.
It's un-American.

I would agree with this. In my 20's I waitressed many years and saw that the majority of the restaurants hired illegals. There were times I was the only non illegal there and most didn't speak English. Instead of thinking about the Americans not being hired, I was thinking about all the illegals who were paid less than minimum and under the table. It sickened me to see some paid as little as 50 cents an hour with no benefits. I suspect many of the factories near me still do this because I always see "Must speak Spanish" and these companies were notorious for it. Incidentally I do speak Spanish.

Right so a way to fix this would be to go after the factory owner instead of trying to round up millions of brown people. You never hear that from the right though. I wonder why?

Because the owner likely pays off some politician to make the issue "disappear". Some of the things I've seen while waitressing really made me sick, like paying below minimum wage and hiring young people to do jobs they shouldn't.

Get the employers because if you hire them...they will come. Nothing but making people slaves and it's unfair to everyone-especially the Americans and legal immigrants that can and want to do those jobs.
