I havent posted in awhile, you know the saying that if you dont have anything good to say dont say anything at all...and i didnt want to be a debbie downer...but I have been emailing and tweeting and watching this forum which I think is the best hands down...

anyway, here is my IMO for today....I dont think that obama has spoken of the 99ers or yearned to help us because the unemployment numbers will sky rocket...and he needs to keep them down to get re elected...I know there are many here that support him, and to be honest i respect that but....now it is all for one and one for all.

My emails to the GOP going forward will be....if you want to beat Obama in 2012 then you should support HR 589, the true unemployment rate will finally rear its ugly head, and you the GOP will then be in the drivers seat for 2011and 2012. Again I know that there are many here that wont agree with this, but i for the life of me cant understand why washington wont support it, we have emailed and faxed our fingers to the bone...therefore IMO, they just dont want americans to see the more realistic unemployment rate.(not the true one) because there will be many that will still not be eligible, but there will be enough to bump that number up.

IMO, the crew of 42 know this but they would rather put the best interest of the 99ers and all those in need before their political interests and god bless them for this...

I am also emailing the white house with a similar version....I know why you wont support helping the 99ers because it would make the unemployment rate explode....and we all know that if the unemployment rate does not go down between now and 2012 you are not going to get re elected...therefore no way no how can you or will you support it...

thats my two cents....the dems didnt listen to us in sept when we asked them to help the 99ers and they would then get re elected...maybe the gop will, sorry all for one one for all....

Not giving up, as I said, someone has to make a public announcement that there will be no help for the 99ers ever. Even then, I am not giving up.

Unemployment has fallen off the political radar until it gets close to the 2012 elections. Obama will play with the numbers to make it look as good as possible and the repubs want the numbers to be as bad as possible. There is no political will now to do anything more than what is currently provided for the unemployed. DEFICIT, DEFICIT, DEFICIT is the current mantra and there is no money for handouts to the unemployed. In 2012, only if the unemployed can change a red state to a blue state or vice versa, will politicians give them any lip service. The people who have jobs are feeling unemployment fatigue and have moved on.

5 working weeks and counting until their August break. They still have to fight over the budget and debt ceiling limit.

They come back on Sept. 6 - and the same cycle is going to start all over again, if they decide to address unemployment at all. The focus will shift away from the 99ers and back to the extension of deadlines, which expires on 12/24 (last week to start a new tier).

I've been through this too many times and the picture is crystal clear. Unless they do something within the next 5 working weeks, the 99ers will be screwed again.

Giggle- I thought that was their permanent status...back to congress.org to get on my soapbox.. I really do think the party system should be disbanded under the RICO ACT. It obstructs justice.
