Dr. Office Taking advantage of....

US! Husband is epileptic. He takes anti seizure medications and have been on them since birth. He has not had a seizure in almost six years. By the grace of God and me. Keeping him on time with his doses. He has bad memory due to this medication. Anyway, long story short. Went in for his three month prescription refills and they said they wouldn't see him again without blood work. So they wrote us prescripts and we were on our way. Then he goes in for blood work (2nd office call payment) and now they send us a letter in the mail and want to discuss the test results. I'm thinking no biggie. I call today and guess what... another office call. What bull crap. I tell her we are on a budget and until his insurance kicks in at work we cannot be paying office calls everytime they shake their finger. So we get no test results and they get no more money. Now, when his next appointment comes time for his refills I am figuring they can give him his tests results then right?

What is this world coming to? I know this clinic too. They are not getting the average business they once got and are taking it out on the rest of us. Just insane. She also said well it's because the dr. may wanna change his meds. I was stunned. I said why try to fix something that isn't broken! Changing his medications is a horrible thing to do when it's been working problem free for five+ years. Now I could understand it if he was having seizures. She said well it's another office call. I said cancel it then, we will wait and I hung up.

Just irks me!
