Wisconsin Governor Violates Judge's Order and Publishes Anti-Union Law
State officials are in an uproar after they cannot figure out what to do about the recently passed law. Apparently, Governor Scott Walker sent the law ahead, to be published on the Wisconsin website, which meant that the law would go into effect by Saturday, despite the fact that a Federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against the law being published.
Not only did they violate the judge's order, but they are blatantly ignoring the order saying that once the bill was passed and the governor signed it, that it became the law of the land:

Scott Walker's administration could be held in contempt of court for violating the judge's order.

Why don't they send him to jail, that would teach him a lesson.

Governor Scott Walker apparently thinks he can take the law into his own hands. His arrogance will be his undoing.
By defination (take the law into one's own hands)-
To mete out justice as one sees fit without due recourse to law enforcement agencies or the courts

A law on the books and published can still be stayed. And they can take further action in court against he govenor, unless he thinks hes untouchable.

There seems to be a trend amongst the GOP that they think they are an absolute monarchy.

Scott Walker's administration could be held in contempt of court for violating the judge's order.
He was already in contempt of court for limiting access to the state capital.
Crime and Courts: ACLU attorney: State could be in contempt if it doesn't comply with court ruling on Capitol access
"The order says they've got to let people in," says Larry Dupuis, legal director for the American Civlil Liberties Union of Wisconsin, which on Monday sent a letter to the state Department of Administration questioning the constitutionality of restricting access. "It seems to me the order means they can't distinguish among members of the public the way they have been.""
Later in the article:
"But the state is still processing the order, which was served on the state Department of Administration. And as of 11:30 a.m., access was still limited."

Apparently, the contempt order was for the secretary of state not to publish the law. Scott Walker ordered another department of his administration to publish the law, side-stepping the secretary of state because the SoS went on record saying that he would not publish the law.
It's smoke and mirrors because Walker thinks he can tell the court that he didn't violate the court order because it was limited to the SoS. However, Walker is wrong, the basis for the order is that the law not be published. Even if the order was directed at the SoS of Wisconsin, Walker would be obligated not to publish the law.

I brought up limited access to the capital building as an example of how this group doesn't seem to care to follow any court's rulings. Walker is doing smoke and mirrors about who published the bill, but that doesn't change the fact he doesn't care to follow the rules already put in place.

This man has his own agenda. With egos this large, he will continue to do whatever he can to keep himself front and center. I do not support him in the least, but you could understand him fighting for this if it was truly a committtment to better Wisconsin. It's not, it's a campaign to better him.
I do not understand these "smaller government", "anti-media" types who want less government and want the media out of politics but then stick their noses and fingers in everything and put themselves front and center of any camera crew willing to film them.

He's truly committed alright. Remember the prank phone call with who he thought was a Koch brother where he says that he had considered bringing in fake protesters to cause problems. This would have made the protesters look bad. The reason they didn't do it? It would be a bad political move. He didn't say "We're not bringing in fake protesters because that's the wrong thing to do". For him it was all about politics.
