The 99ers: Addicted to Unemployment - Warning - Not for the faint hearted!

I was talking about this on Twitter the other day when I first heard about The 99ers. They were described to me as a sort of union for the unemployed.

They have a slick looking website. (It’s an interesting and perhaps telling detail that that they are promoting the fake ‘ poor people in Minnesota can’t carry more than $20’ story) They have their own #99ers hashtag on Twitter. They have a video with music that could be in a beer commercial.

I would sign up and give him a piece of my mind but its not worth it. Let the story die and rot like its writer. There are 24 Million unemployed and they can't hide that fact.

Isn't this the same guy who gave a edited video to Fox News regarding Shirley Sherrod speaking at a conference, and giving the impression that she was being racist - and who later was forced to resign from her position at the USDA.

Yeah same guy, he lies to make his point seem accurate.

In related news, I saw this funny segment on fox news the other day where they were talking to random people on the street. None of the people they talked to seemed to be pro-fox news and some of them were pretty hostile. They were asked questions about Japan and conservatives trying to cut the deficit and global warming. None of these questions were related in anyway. when the guy got back to the studio he concluded that "liberals think that conservatives caused the Earthquake in Japan". There is no way you could infer this anything that was said in the segment.

LMAO!! That is typical. Guess they should of dropped that segment.

It is obviously laughable but I promise you I will be out somewhere and someone will say "liberals are so stupid, they blame the earthquake on republicans".

Yes it is, he is a joke.

He speaks of people who need to start pulling themselves up and stop living on the government, and yet, he fabricates and ruins lives to earn his living. I think one thing that definitely needs to change in this country is the arrogance of some to think they will TELL you how it should be and you MUST listen to them. I think many, many people need to start looking really hard at who they have become, and it's not a nice picture.

Yeah, unfortunately our public discussion could fall prey to the little twit and his bend them/shape them public forums.

Yeah it's called Fascism. It's outright UGLY what this nation has turned into. I see McCarthyism ALL over again except that instead of being BRANDED commie. It will be socialists/liberal. I mean this witch hunt is in it's early stages. Back then the Commie hunters used FEAR to galvanize the public to their cause. Now they use FEAR to LABEL those who are NOT conservative the ENEMY. And shout us down when we try to defend our position. Now they shout us down, next will be shooting us down just because we have a different OPINION.

That is the prevailing feeling now but it will change. I just don't believe that the American people will fall for this fascism much longer. I think we will fight back and not just progressives, the moderate will also refuse to let his nation be high jacked any more.
