Another war???

I moved this this general discussion, I did not think it belonged in unemployment news.

Let's face it, we will always have enough money to kill people and blow #%@! up, but help the 99ers? Nope, we can't afford that!

(Not saying I'd be sad if Gaddafi were gone, but him and how many other horrible dictators?)

Military options just means that a blockade might be in order, a military blockade. It's highly doubtful that we would need to go in there. We didn't need to go into Egypt and this is just the same reaction.

The problem is that this has caused a domino effect and it's going to envelop the Middle East as a whole and our military is better off just standing back and wait to see what happens. It's the people of these countries who are rebelling against the established order, their respective governments. China, Cuba, Iran, ... we're going to see more of these countries falling prey to this problem because of the effect that the world economy and high unemployment and debt are having on developed nations.

I second the part about our military standing back and waiting, but it just seems too...........um....... smart...yes, that's the word I was looking for.

Not sure I agree that Libya is that much like Egypt. But not too sure that anyone has a real handle on what's coming next. I do know I'm kind of enjoying watching certain leaders quaking in their boots...it sure is overdue in a lot of cases, and a lot we had no busines propping up for as long as we have.

But Cuba? I wasn't aware of any of this catching on there. Seems like that's the same old rumbling from the same old right-wing ex-pats that it's always been.
I dunno, overall I'm feeling optomistic about the smart young kids in the Middle East.
