my husband lost his job 2 months ago. Status still says pending. His employer did say that they would fight it, but have heard nothing about a hearing or anything. It says on his paperwork not to contact them regarding the status but out of desperation he did a couple of weeks ago anyways and still has not heard anything. Is this normal?We live in RI.

welcome to the forum!

I am in Ohio and all correspondence is done via email (option)..I recently went through the appeals process
and all the documentation i read always has a time frame attached (10, 21, 14 days etc)..

Two months is exceptionally long I am gonna say that there is a 21 day MAX (maybe business days)

Keep in mind that unemployment insur is there to HELP people and the burden of proof of misconduct is upon the boss (employer)
