The temporary and contract jobs with the most growth
http://www.theworkbuzz.com/news/job-surveys/the-temporary-and-contract-jobs-with-the-most-growth/In CareerBuilder’s 2013 Job Forecast, 40 percent of employers say they intend to hire temporary and contract workers, which is a 4 percent increase over 2012. Of those businesses that are hiring temporary workers, 42 percent intend to transition these new contract and temporary workers into full-time, permanent positions. For businesses, temporary workers are essential to succeeding.

Re: The temporary and contract jobs with the most growth
Well, forecasts are forecasts. They're never wrong, just revised. If these companies do keep these temporary workers, great! I have a feeling though they'll keep doing what they've been doing, rolling the old temps off and rolling the new ones on. Companies got too used to not having to pay benefits and not having to train, a huge boost to their bottom line.
As I suspected, the Human Resources (The Department Of No) position leads the way (25% growth) with all of the real AND FICTITIOUS job openings companies need to manage. Don't know why the report didn't put them on top. I guess Career Builder didn't have time to sort the list.

That is true about the revolving door of temps and contractors. It is all about benefits. Beginning in 2014, even temp agencies are going to have to provide health insurance benefits under the Affordable Care Act. What are they going to do then?
