Anyone else in Florida having problems getting paid since 2013?
I filed on 1-1-2013. I was/am transitioning from EB on one claim to EB on another. It's as if my claim is in limbo. I have called several times and of course get the run around. Yesterday I was told there is a "glitch" in the system. I am very frustrated!

Are you sure it is state EB? That was cutoff last summer, and was not included in the latest extension. The maximum amount of weeks available is now 73., which includes regular unemployment and the four tiers of EUC. EB is gone! See the update from NELP at www.unemployedworkers.org.

DesperateInRI is indeed right. Last summer was the cut off.

Re: Anyone else in Florida having problems getting paid since 2013?
I certified for my last week of regular state UI the first week of this year. At that time the system asked me to apply for EUC 1 and 2 which I did and received letters that I was eligible but since then I have not been able to certify online or on the phone (for two weeks now) and can't get thru to a real person at all!!! Literally have spent hours on hold. I have heard that even tho the president ok'd the extensions, no money has been authorized to be paid. There has been nothing about that on the news or the UI website and I can't find anything on the web either! I'm now without any checks for two weeks and have no idea what's going on or when it will be fixed. Any comments would be welcome!!!!

EUC was a very unexpected "extension" through 2013. With that said, many are wondering where is their money. With the holidays and rework of the UI systems in each state, please just understand that this is probably the case.
Two things:
1. Do reinforce your right to EUC, even though it will probably be automatic - call!
2. If you are currently receiving a check by mail, cut that out pronto. Go DD or use the State Chase (or equivalent) debit system.
Keep us informed, we care.
