After 4 acquisitions/closures, it finally sunk in: I gave you my life, I loved you more than I loved myself.

I apologize from not realizing this sooner because now we both lose.

Everybody - please, please consider whether your dilemma is like mine. Have yourself a learning experience!!!!!!!!

Try to not make my mistake. Goodbye Engineering!!!!!!! 66067

Process engineers are in high demand, especially in the Texas area. Are you restricted by relocation or certs?

Don't give up.

I know exactly what you are saying...worked for a company for 20 years, and litterally gave them my life....worked 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, sometimes, and still took work home to complete at night. During my tenure there, our business tripled! I remember walking out of the office at 8:00 on a Friday night, and noticing that my car was the only one in the parking lot...and cried my eyes out on the way home. That's when I realized I was a workaholic...and changed my tune real quick the following Monday. And what did it get me...company closure, by a big fat corporation we call Mobile. (And to think I still get my gas there). Never again, will I give my life over to anyother employer!

Take your experience and move forward with it... the expression "while looking back you can never progress forward" applies here.

It's a changing world. Change with it "real time" and in so doing you really can't afford to pivot on the past, not even a day ago!

It does no good.

I wonder if they are hiring engineers overseas?

Sorry your career didn't work out. I gave years to a failed career in my case, which died due to health...but part time jobs and economic layoffs didn't help either.
