I have failed at all my jobs!
I have failed at all my jobs. And I am in my 50s. It hurts to know that others are still at the company that got rid of me. It hurts like hell.
It's not even that I don't have skills. I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's that I had an emotionally abusive father and brothers. I think that has a lot to do with it. I never expected to be respected by people.
And I wear my heart out on my sleeve. I let all the negative show.
I AM SO DOWN.

Not to be insulting, but perhaps you need professional help. Please call 211, the United Way Hotlline to find low-cost or free mental health clinics in your area.

You don't know for sure why others stayed on and you were let go....
you know people don't always behave rationally, and talk and carry-on about the dumbest things....
could be and probably is something you haven't even considered....
if you let your imagination run wild....it will lead to no good..
I have a friend who say hes had 20-30 jobs in his life (which is a lot)...
then he was diagnosed with being "Bi-polar" in his late forties, and told that's a sign of the illness

They really want only droids in the workworld. Those who can shut down their emotions are the ones who succeed. Anyone who is vulnerable and who has been abused or has emotions, or feelings or is human, is shunted often to the side. We have the most narcissistic sociopathic country going in the world. For those with other differences, health problems, etc, they grind you down to dust. I feel for you and I hope you can get some help. As for failing in THIS ROTTEN STINKING SYSTEM, look outside of it, you are a person of worth to God. I failed in it too!

This too, there are far more unemployed people out there then you could know. They arent letting us know how bad the economy is, and employed people do not want to know. We are in the hidden depression. There are many in your boat. I will pray for you too.

I meet other underemployed/unemployed people all the time....some are young and still building their skills....other have parents or spouses that can provide for them....the ones like me....single, parents have passed on and siblings that charge you to live in a house that they own.....fat chance

Re: I have failed at all my jobs!
Everyone fails at some things and wins at other things. This doesn't mean anyone is a winner or a failure, it's called life. However; that said, it is still BS when you want to work and cannot find any type of job and keep getting passed over to qualifed, not qualifed enough, not whatever for them to choose you over someone else. And, this alone is going to make you think you are a loser. But, your not, and that's what you need to remember. Is there a free group close by you that you could join for support?
