How far would you commute to work.
How far would you commute to work
In this day and age beggars cant be choosers and often times a job may present itself in which under normal economic conditions you would laugh at the idea of it.
So my question to you all is how far are you willing to drive to work for a job that pays a livable wage.

Re: How far would you commute to work
Many years ago, I was the first woman to become an Operating Engineer apprentice in Oregon. They settled the class action lawsuit banning women from joining the union before Missouri did so I moved across country on the hope I would accepted.
One job I had was on the coastal highway, highway 101, that was just under 3 hours from where I lived in Portland. I had a panel van & parked it in a nearby state park, went to town every morning for breakfast then off to work I went. On the weekends I went home.
I don't see me doing that now of course but it all depends on the situation. If it paid enough you could always get a temporary living situation closer to work and decide later.
