Re: Looks Like This Is It
This "deal" was made in the best interest of our greedy, self-centered legislators on Capitol Hill. It's so transparent it makes me sick!
Is it just me or does anyone see a repeat of 2008, when the price of oil sky-rocketed in the early summer and the Market crashed in the early fall? It was the beginning of The Great Recession! This time around, our economy is so unstable it won't withstand it. Another "Greece "? There will be more exhaustees this time. Unlike me and millions of others who had the "luxury " of 99 weeks scraping by on unemployment benefits, the so-called safety net is about to shrink significantly!
Just need to say this - THE MILLIONS OF EXHAUSTEES ARE SCREWED AGAIN!

It's stupid because this so-called "Recovery" is in baby stages and is both tentative and precarious at this point. The Republicans want to blame the failures on Obama and Obama is doing lame ass things just to look good.
I want to move to a different country at this rate!

I feel like it is now Not worth my time & efforts to even call my Senators & House Rep. I mean whats the use? They never respond to why they will not help Exhaustees or Long-term unemployed & now from the Congressional Deal I know they never will.
I'm beginning to feel my efforts will be more usefull fighting other fights.
I'm just shocked! Don't have words for how I feel. Other than Congress really knows how to kick a man while he is down.

It's horrible! I'm sorry that this is happening...
It looks like the cutting of the weeks will be gradual and won't even start until August which is at the end of my 99 weeks... It's scary! I pray that we can all find better jobs in the end...

I agree with you on this, I read an article (i wish i could remember which one it was, as i have read so much) that both Dems and Repubs in the house have been receiving pressure from their states on UE because of states budget deficits which is why they are deciding to cut back the weeks. I think we all know why it is turning out this way, it's an election year and they know all 435 seats in the House are on the line. They worry about their job but to hell with the millions of Americans who have been without for years now. And I just keep thinking how many will add to the roll numbers of 99ers as the end approaches and still no adequate amount of jobs available for us all...This is not the America I remember and I don't think it ever will be again...
