The current 112th Congress is the first Congress elected under the Citizens United Supreme Court decision that opened the floodgates of corporate money in elections. Remember the flood of ads accusing Democrats of "half a trillion in cuts from Medicare" that got them elected -- paid for with corporate money? Those ads swung the electorate toward Republican candidates, and now we are seeing the results -- including cuts in Medicare and even plans to privatize it entirely.

How Many Times?

To get their way Republicans have already nearly shut down our government or just shut down parts of it several times. Shutdown. Hostage. Shutdown. Hostage. Shutdown. Shutdown and hostage. Shutdown. Shutdown. Shutdown. Hostage. Shutdown. Shutdown. Hostage. Hostage. And on and on...

I don't mean to be harsh and I am sorry for all who depend on ui to eat, keep a roof over their heads etc. I know the pain everyone is feeling. I have been a 99er for a year in Feburary of 2012. Soon we will all be 99ers!
When I was laid off three years ago I remember they were talking about 99ers then! There has got to be 8 million of us by now! Two thousand protesters rushed wall st and shut the cops down! In the spring I'd love to gather 8 million and shut everything down! From coast to coast we take our country back! What are they going to do, jail us all, they don't have enough rubber bullets for our multitude.

Winter will be rough for many, I pray everyone survives this one.
My heart breaks for all, I am deeply sad constantly for everyone. The children, we are supposed to protect the children. Congress does nothing but waste time and our money. Republicans are scoundrels and democrats are cowards. It's time to take our country back!

Sadly this country could really use a shut down. I know we will feel more pain but it may be the only way they do too!

What can they do to us that hasn't been done already? They think we will shut up and take what they give us. I say take what we want and give them Hell! I would give my life for my country, I would give my life for my neighbor! That's what I said when I joined the Marines. Mess with my country and get ready for a knock down drag out! I want my country back.
I didn't serve my country for scum bags to rape and pillage my neighbors!

Shut it down! They are bluffing, I call their bluff!
