I've been through so much.. but good news!!!
I am doing SO good on my "quitting smoking" campaign! Each day I try to go a bit longer without smoking a ciggie. Right now at 7:00 pm I've only smoked TWO ciggies!!! This is a miracle to me!! I was up to TWO packs a day!!! I'm finding myself thinking less and less about smoking and have had very little cravings!! I really don't understand this.. but I think I finally figured out the association with the habit. You'd think after all I've bee through with Mom passing, trouble paying bills, I'd be smoking so damn much. Don't know what turned it around but DAMN I'm so damn proud of myself!!!!
*patting myself on my back* Yaayy ME!

Well, I will pat you on the pack too. Now if you get the secret or have suggestions, please pass them on. I am at 1/2 pack and mad at myself every day, but still lighting up, sorry to say.

DIR.. I honestly don't know how I'm doing this!! I think Mom is now my Angel and is helping me through this... I dunno. Maybe it has something to do with OWS and everyone coming together. Regardless, it's helped me and I have a peace that haven't had in a very long time!!
God bless America!
P.S. 7pm ... still only 2 cigs <3

MaryKay, when I was Mom's caretaker my sleep schedule got messed up. I fell asleep around 5am and woke around 1pm. I'd lie in bed and had no desire to smoke and that got me wondering that it was an association thing. As soon as I went down to the PC I would chain smoke. I don't know what changed but it takes changing habits. I have gone to 2 packs a day down to less than a half pack. MaryKay, try to observe your habits... that really helps.

Good idea rhi, thanks. I am now writing down when I smoke. That way I can get an idea of when and why I light up.
Hoping you are well. Really good to hear from you.
