So in mid-April, there will be 403,000 "26ers" if federal extensions aren't reauthorized. You can add that the over 400,000 people a week who have filed since July 1. The benefits for anyone applying after that day will start exhausting in January. That is in addition to the individuals who have already exhausted their benefits, and those that will lose their benefits when the federal program stops.
So where is the reason for celebration when these first times claims decrease by a few thousand?

No celebration in deed. Here is the deal guys, we need to keep pounding them. This isn't close to being good news, they voted down a piece of the jobs bill and we need to call them on it. If some of them can sign petitions, so can we. No vote of a jobs bill = NO VOTE FOR YOU. It's one power we still have.
