Re: CA Edd Telecert
Gail... When I tried to use it, and it told me to do the same thing. I went to the EDD website, created an account, and recertified that way. After you do so, it will tell you that you were successful. Please be sure to print everything. Hope this helps. I am very certain that this worked, but am still going to call tomorrow just to double check.

Re: CA Edd Telecert
Well i called yesterday 9/26/2011 at 330pm because i had the same issue on Sunday night 9/25/2011. I finally got someone to pickup and she explained they were having problems with the phone cert system. No phone certs were happening at this time. Since i had lost the hard copy of my last Edd cert questionnaire. I requested her to send me one (she advised me to get one) because she had no idea when and if the system would be back up. I had offered to go to the nearest office to do a face to face and fill it out but she said i couldn't do that. I had to be sent the document via mail or to call back (today 9/27/2011) and try yhe system again..to my dismay the system gave me the same response as yesterday and still appears to be having problems. She never mentioned i could go online and (re-certify) so i hope you didn't snaffu your benefits due to 2 cases being filed. You were better off requesting another form being sent to you to return it for your benefits. I hope it works out for you. I am on my last State check and will transition to the Federal disbursement of benefits. I hope it is as seamless as the representative told me it was. She said they automatically file your continued claim for the Federal benefits the day you are sent your last Ca State check... Lord i sure hope so..

Re: CA Edd Telecert
I received my money today. I am also on the Federal Extended benefits after my 26 weeks ended. As I said, I recerted on Sunday via webcert. When you do that, your status will change from "ready" to "submitted ". And when I logged in this morning, and "submitted " had changed to "issued". That's when I called the toll-free debit card number on the back of the card and verified the deposit. Webcert is actually faster than Telecert and saves me minutes on my phone plan. The funds themselves arrive in the same amount of time.

Re: CA Edd Telecert
Thanks to all who answered my post-I was able to go online and file the continued claim form via Web-cert--I also emailed them about issue and the response said " tecnical problems with Telecert"---You would think someone at Edd would be able to have Telercert advise people that "system is down" or "experiencing technical difficulties" or something other than to just mail in the paper form. Oh well, live & learn. At least I was able to use the web & everything went ok. Thanks again to all who responded.
