DCCC Petition to Speaker Boehner - Please All Members Sign!
I received this a little while ago from the DCCC.
Please all, sign the petition. Instructions at the bottom of the letter.
Thanks,
mk
Thank you for signing our petition telling Speaker Boehner to drop the Tea Party nonsense and heed President Obama’s call to take immediate action to put Americans back to work.
It's important that we get as many signatures as we can!
Please forward this email to five of your friends right now and encourage them to sign at http://dccc.org/BackToWork
You can also share the petition on Facebook at http://dccc.org/fbBackToWork
Or tweet this petition on Twitter at http://dccc.org/twBackToWork

You can use this sample text to send to friends and family:
See Speaker Boehner’s response to President Obama’s jobs speech? Boehner and House Republicans think the answer to our economic challenges is more of the same failed policies to protect the ultra wealthy at the expense of the middle class.
Will you help us send a loud message that the American people aren’t buying it either?
Tell Speaker Boehner to drop the Tea Party nonsense and heed President Obama’s call to take immediate action to put Americans back to work. Add your name right now!

This was the original request to sign:

Where are the jobs, Speaker Boehner?
After 255 days in the House Majority, Republicans have failed to introduce any jobs legislation.
You can tell Boehner to put aside the golf clubs, put down the tissues and get to work helping the President create jobs.
Help us reach 100,000 people standing strong demanding Speaker Boehner stop standing in the way of President Obama’s plan to create jobs.
Co-sign the American Jobs Act Petition and tell Speaker Boehner to support President Obama’s plan to put Americans back to work.
The President’s American Jobs Act is a bold plan to create millions of good paying American jobs and Boehner and Tea Party Republicans need to stop their cheap delaying tactics and support it right now.
See Speaker Boehner’s response to President Obama’s jobs speech? It was the same warmed over trickle down drivel Tea Party Republicans have been selling for years. Tax cuts for Big Oil, Billionaires and corporations that send jobs overseas; table scraps and crumbs for the middle class and unemployed.
Co-sign the American Jobs Act Petition and tell Speaker Boehner to support President Obama’s plan to put Americans back to work.
Together, Democrats will get America back to work. Sign our petition and join our campaign today.
Thank you.

DCCC Executive Director
P.S. Forward this email to 3 friends right now and encourage them to sign our petition!

Singned & Tweeted and Also Called But wish the petition also included info. to pass H.R.589 since Mr.Obama thinks long term unemployed is only people that have been unemployed for longer than 6mths.
He's crafty because the un educated on unemployment think he is helping all of us 99ers or how ever many weeks some people have collected BUT NO LONGER GET ANY BENEFITS! I think He should use the word EXHAUSTEE because then it would be clear who he is including in help. He looks like a hero to my family that say "See, he is adding more help for you, it says long term unemployed" then I have to explain that IT DOESN'T include Exhaustees.

Re: DCCC Petition to Speaker Boehner - Please All Members Sign!
Don't take this to the bank, but according to the conference call with the CPC, the language is very non specific for a reason. If they can't pass HR589, they could possibly include it in the bill. The money is there, this bill is 16 if my memory serves, and the breakout of finances includes enough to cover HR589, but does not mention it specifically. It also gives the states the right to extend benefits as they see necessary through a state program. I don't pretend to understand all the language in the bill as I am not a legal mind, but I am hoping. We need both passed if not. CPC is behind the 99ers and 14 weeks or not, we need this bill passed so people will start hiring at decent wages. 14 weeks will help us, but again, it's 14 weeks. I am kind of treating each thing as a seperate issue, I should clarify that. We need additional benefits, we need jobs, good paying jobs and we need them this year, not 10 years from now, two President's later.
