Paul Krugman: "If Obama proposed that we honor motherhood, Republicans would vote it down."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/09/paul-krugman-50-percent-chance-global-recession_n_955507.htmlEven though Obama's jobs plan is "bolder and better" than Paul Krugman expected, the Nobel-Prize winning economist still told Bloomberg Television on Friday that it might not be enough to stave off global recession.
"The chance that it's not going to actually be enacted by Republicans is 100 percent, I think nothing will pass," Krugman said. "I believe if Obama proposed that we honor motherhood, Republicans would vote it down."

Obama would probably be better at that and they would not vote that down! It may be the only thing he may accomplish!

Still doesn't say much for the Republican Party. President Obama's inability to accomplish anything to help average American citizens is due to the brick wall the Party of No put up to obstruct anything the President proposes.exhaustedandtired/1208 wrote:Obama would probably be better at that and they would not vote that down! Yes, while he has his problems, it is really unprecedented in history how Obama is being blocked at every turn just so Perry or Romney will be the next president.
If one of them wins I hope that the democrats block everything he suggests for four years. I hope they burn the house down.
Two can play at this game.

Yep, Its a tough decision! To vote to pass something that will be our demise and let it happen or hope for a better plan THAT WORKS! But no matter, Its all their fault! So why don't they just vote for perfection?

Now we are in a total politicical situation. Both the repubs. and the dems. They know if they pass his plans and it works short term like the last 840 bllion dollar stimulus did , he'll for the SHORT term be the hero, then after reelected we'll fall back into depression! I hope Obama does win, this way after the 99er's are ignored for another 4 years and his weak planned stimulus fails AGAIN then maybe you will have suffered enough to want a change! Remember when I said about the hot bucket of coals and the bucket filled with ice and one has their laft hand in the coals and the other in the ice bucket, they don't feel the burning sensation and ignore it. Hum!

Krugman is 100% right. They are so busy trying to win back the full House and Senate they won't do their jobs. They are mistaken if they think business is 100% behind them, business is a fickle fellow, if they continue to get hurt by inaction, no matter how much cash they are sitting on, they, themselves may vote for a change. Right now the climate in Europe is so bad that truly through no fault of our own, we could be right back in the thick of it. We are now downgraded and not such a good risk, not to mention the laughing stock of the Political Machines all over the world, we may not be out of this and it will have nothing to do with our real economy, but what we are tied to with Europe and Asia. The markets didn't like Friday's news and according to those in the know, it had nothing to do with the President's plan, but everything to do with our Congress' lack of will to act and with Europe. Whether our Republican friends want to or not, they are now faced with funding FEMA and not cutting it to the bone as they hoped they could, but with LA, the fires, the east coast and more still to come possibly, they will have to do what they detest, spend!!!!.
