Dear Mr. President, Empty Dear Mr. President,

Post by petlisco Tue Sep 06, 2011 10:17 am

I am a 59 year old 99er.

Why should big business hire me when they can get the job done cheaper overseas?
Why should big business hire me when, for the cost of my healthcare costs, they can hire two people half my age?
Why should big business hire me when they have an army of virtual slave labor by convincing America's students that they must do an internship in order to become viable in the work force?

Fix Washington and reign in big business.

Eliminate political advertising. The American people should not be influenced in their choice of a politician the same way they are influenced to chose their breakfast cereal. Stop wasting an obscene amount of money on elections. Put a low cap on campaign contributions and level the political playing field between Big Business and the average American. Use technology and the media as the political forum and encourage open debate between candidate.

I grew up in a strong and proud America. That nation was built on the back of the middle class. Big Business has been systematically destroying the middle class since deregulation began in the 1970s. The experiment has failed.

This clip expresses how I am feeling and speaks for many Americans.
GOOD LUCK ON THURSDAY
