The bottom line is that community doesn't want to see the problem, it shakes them out of their all is rosey mindset. To see homeless in tent cities, is to remind them that they could end up there too and that scares them so through fear they pressure the local gov to close it down, so they don't have to see it anymore.

They just want them to move to someplace else where the whole process will be repeated again, and again until something changes, bunch of BS.

The community should be directing their anger at the right people.
These people are the victims of the depression and their community should be fighting FOR them not against them. That is part of the problem in this country. People turn against each other when they should be banding together and taking to the streets in protest!!
When people are down, such as the people in this tent community for example...neighbors and those still able to fight should be coming together for the ones who don't have it in them to fight anymore. Obviously when you get to that point it becomes about survival and there is no room for fighting the machine on top of fighting for yours and your families existence.
Im tired of this. We are all in this together whether we like it or not. It is what it is and we ALL need to come together as one voice for all the assaults on the middle class and poor. They should be dropping off food and necessities to them.
God bless that pastor and the law firm that is representing them probono. If only there were more people like them....
