Why Washington Isn’t Doing Squat About Jobs and Wages
http://robertreich.org/post/6188608377
Republicans don’t want to do anything about jobs and wages. They’re so intent on unseating Obama they’d like the economy to remain in the dumps through Election Day. They also see the lousy economy as an opportunity to sell Americans their big lie that government spending is the culprit — and jobs will return if spending is cut and government shrinks.
Democrats, meanwhile, don’t want to admit the recovery has stalled. They worry such talk will further undermine consumer confidence or spook the bond market. They don’t want to head into the election year sounding downbeat. And they don’t think they have the votes for anything that will have much effect before Election Day anyway.
GET LOUD PEOPLE AND ORGANIZE ITS THE ONLY WAY!

I just thought they expected us all to be dead before election time. Or in a debtor prison...we probably couldn't vote afterwards, so they'd be safe...

The government is in perpetual motion: getting ready for vacation, on vacation, coming back from vacation, preparing for stalemates, stalemates, discussing the stalemate.....then the whole finger pointing thing takes time. I am sure they think their silly little games are cute - sort of one-upping their loser constituents - but they are helping to destroy this beautiful country with their ignorance. And they are too stupid to understand this, or why the United States is losing its credibility with the rest of the world.

Re: Why Washington Isn’t Doing Squat About Jobs and Wages
I dont know if anyone remembers, but the President and Dems were warned that if they gave into the demands of the GOP in December regarding the tax cuts, that the GOP would continue to bully into passing legislation they want passed. Its kind of like the saying "we dont negotiate with terrorists" Im not saying they are terrorists, but POTUS and his party should of use the same tactic here. Now the GOP thinks they can do this all the time to get what they want. they will hold much needed legislation hostage and demand theirs gets passed or else. Cant negotiate with people like this.
