The House Republican's America's Plan for Job Creators
http://www.majorityleader.gov/Jobs/"America is at a crossroads and House Republicans are committed to taking every possible step to spur job creation and get our economy back on track so that Americans can do what they do best: create, innovate and lead. The pro-growth agenda detailed below builds on the GOP Pledge to America, our governing agenda focused on job creation and economic growth. It will address our economic challenges, foster innovation and investment, and help job creators without raising taxes on working families and small business owners." ~ GOP Leader Eric Cantor

Not that all their ideas are bad, but the last line of the one page summary is what they are looking for, bottom line.
The details are non existent is this summary or full document. At best, if passed it would take ten years to see the fruits of this. The unemployed and the 99ers cannot wait for 1 year much less 10 to start earning.

The so-called jobs plan is nothing but the same agenda put together and printed out in giant sized font that the GOP tweets day in and day out in 140 characters or less. This is a tax cut for the people who bought and paid for them, will cause more outsourcing of jobs and will finish off what the GOP started from 2000-2008. The GOP only cares about jobs in the context of how they can use jobs and unemployment as a talking point to sell their agenda.

Re: The House Republican's America's Plan for Job Creators
This bill is a joke! Meant to fatten the corporate wallets, and further their slash and burn agenda of "Cut the budget- on the backs of the poor and unemployed".
First class workforce is one of the objectives? I went through the "World class, lean manufacturing", blah blah blah. While we in our local union worked collectively with management on their so called "World Class Manuacturing" for ISO 9001 certification,2 years ago, the company opened a manufacturing facility in Wales, thereby shipping a LOT of our work there, slashing our workforce by 30%. This is the biggest bunch of crap, but what do you really expect from the GOP? They don't even acknowledge our existence or our need for extensions, instead chosing to shorten how many weeks states pay out benefits. Don't you get the title of the bill? Not for job creation, but a bill for "JOB CREATORS"? More back door BS for the already wealthy multi-nationals.
How ironic about building a "First Class Workforce" whene need JOBS RIGHT NOW!! OMG!!
This bill will have the opposite effect, believe me- This bill means how can we get MORE work with FEWER employees- plain and simple...

Re: The House Republican's America's Plan for Job Creators
There are disturbing things in this bill. One of the most disturbing-(besides it being about helping job creators in the way of tax cuts, which will be a HUGE break since they fear the Bush tax breaks will be allowed to expire) is their plan for FDA product approval process overhaul. You all need to be very concerned bout this. I worked in a blood bank for years, and there is a reason for careful scrutiny of new or changed products/devices. It is called protecting the public. They also want to open the way for the industries the FDA regulates to fund the FDA with money, thereby expediting the approval process. Like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse. Not in the public's best interest, which was the reason for the FDA's creation.
Btw- businesses were given tax breaks, credits, defferal of taxes on earnings, etc.- So that didn't create any jobs, just made the ceo's richer.
