– 89 percent of Americans believe oil companies deserve a great deal of (61 percent) or some (27 percent) blame for the recent increase in gas prices.

See? Americans are not as stupid as the rest of the world thinks. We know what is going on and what needs to be done, we just don't vote for the people that want to do it. It's a conundrum.
