Gov. Walker says government workers' collective bargaining rights have caused unsustainable costs.
Studies show public workers in Wisconsin are not overpaid like Gov. Walker says. The pension plan in Wisconsin is almost fully funded.
Public employees have offered to accept cuts, but Gov. Walker has rejected them. This isn't about the budget; it's about tax cuts for the wealthiest and breaking unions.

Re: Ed Radio 3/21/11
Tazzy posted the link to this article in Forbes Magazine and I could NOT resist posting the link again. The author is a Pulitzer Prize winning tax reporter and it's entitled: The Wisconsin Lie Exposed – Taxpayers Actually Contribute Nothing To Public Employee Pensions
In simple language there is NO DIFFERENCE between a bazillion dollar athlete’s negotiated contract of deferred salary than ANY union members salary negotiated through collective bargaining.
Finally a TAX EXPERT easily explains DEFERRED SALARY AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR SALARY ARE THE SAME. Salary is salary whether it’s paid up front or at a later date…whether it’s defined through an athlete’s business management team or through union leaders via collective bargaining…..IT IS ALL THE SAME…SALARY!!! It’s just more political rhetoric that is being mythologized to make uneducated citizens believe they are contributing to public employee’s pensions.
