If recent trends in business taxation hold, when I finally get around to writing the check and putting my tax return in the mail, I’ll be contributing more in federal income taxes than the bulk of all U.S. corporations.

Of course, that’s not saying much. It’s not hard to chip in more than zero dollars.

I actually owed money to the government this year. I don't know too much about the tax thing so I claimed too much last year =( It was an unexpected and huge blow.

I know most of us here are not even in a situation to fill one out, but on my W4 form, I never claim more than 0 or 1. I get less in my paycheck, but come tax time, I can usually look forward to a nice tax refund. Also, while I was collecting unemployment, I had them take out their 10% in taxes, so it was 1 less thing to worry about on my tax return.

I pray everyone here, and all unemployed are in a situation where they are filling out a W4, because that means they're working and hopefully for a living wage!

Jeez, I've been using W2's all these years, now I had to have my daughter pay my 1099G, how embarrassing. But she is so good, she said mom you used to give me your whole paycheck once a month after I got my car for 2 years, this was one nasty used car, first the engine went, then the transmission. Oh well!
