Faith over disillusion Empty Faith over disillusion

Post by Angelicrisis Tue Apr 05, 2011 10:12 pm

As we all know alot is happening this week and I normally don't start threads; lately I've came to the conclusion that we the people in need are not the ones that are wrong, yet we are doing the most suffering.

I don't expect payment for good intentions like a gumball machine, but this situation has reminded me of just how important faith is. Its not just for us, it's a necessary component of life. You see, ive lost just about everything, and I was with someone who shared the non-compassionate views that some Anti-advocates for 99ers have, along with a lot of material things. I had to come to the conclusion that it was obviously for the best.

But that moment I lose my faith, or hope for that matter is the sec I will probably lose myself, and I will not....so I say without posting an article of irritation or hope to all of the 99ers. No matter what these next few days bring or what has happened to you in the past year. Don't lose yourself, and keep fighting. Man made politics can take away a lot of things, but they can only take away your spirit if you let them.

Fight for it...and thanks for listening to me rant.

This was not a rant! This is a great wake up call! Don't give up - keep fighting! We have to believe, stay focused and continue. We will win this battle!

I don't know if I still have faith. The only thing I still have is a desk, a chair, and an air bed. Maybe a little bit faith that may air bed is not leaking.

After Thursday I think that I even lose the last three things I have incl Internet and my apartment.
I even don't have money for a rope. I am glad I don't have anyone to support.

Thanks for the kind words, and Im glad even if it helped a little. Ironically I had to come back and read my own words because things just got a little tighter...that quick, glad I wrote them and had the responses.

It's a little too serendipidous for me, with the timing and all, but I will stay as resiliant as possible, and I hope everyone else does also.

Ugh Agent Smith, Im praying for you. By rope I assume you meant a rope to tie your things down when you moved.

I remember you asking a while back about wanting to start a political website and were asking if anyone had experience in building a Forum/website etc. I know someone who is very good at these things. If you want more info PM me. I may be able to help.

Thx Jobless_in_Ma for the offer, but I am not sure if I have Internet by the end of the month anymore. I was really hoping something would change, but this country is becoming more and more a country for capitalists and not for the small citizen. The American dream is long gone. We fallen back to a modern slavery instead. Poor America.

Thanks for your message, Agent Smith. We all know exactly how you feel. Hang in there with us.

Many years ago, my husband was disabled for 3 years (not a fun time). I mentioned having faith and my mother said, "How can you still have faithwith all that's happened?!" I said, "It would be a heckuva time to lose faith now! It's easy to have faith when things are good. But it's now that I need it the most."

Don't give up.

I know, but it is so frustrating. I only had a few interviews in the last one and a half years with my over 1500 applications. One of that app went to a grocery chain store called Aldi. They told me right away I am to old for their company, because they only hire not older than 36. And I am free to sue them but I don't have any evidence anyway. I was really shocked about this statement.
With my 45 I am in much better shape than many mid 20s, but it seems that doesn't count here. So frome where should come hope and faith?

From not letting another person or institution take away who you are.

And from knowing that we all know where you're coming from and are here for you.
I'm 54. Of course I don't look it ..... Very Happy

Sorry - just though I'd inject a little levity.

Seriously, though, we understand. For me some days are easier than others. I try not to take this stuff personally, but it's very hard sometimes. We can't make it better for you but we can listen to you.

Better days are coming. Hang in there
