I received an email Alert today from the office of the Speaker of the House John Boehner.

They addressed the issue about jobs for the unemployed.

And state they are interested in creating jobs but first must address some obstacles placed by the Democrats before they are able to get to that issue.

Fighting for the Largest Spending Cuts Possible to Help Create Jobs

April 3, 2011 | Posted by Speaker Boehner's Press Office | Permalink

Its been 43 days since the House passed H.R. 1 to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year and cut spending to end some of the uncertainty facing job creators. Senate Democrats still haven't passed a bill of their own or offered a credible plan to cut spending and keep the government running. Read more below.

In the weekly Republican address, Speaker Boehner“ a former small business owner“ talks about how the spending binge in Washington is creating uncertainty for private-sector job creators and holding our economy back. Boehner reiterates Republicans commitment to fighting for the largest spending cuts possible, and says its important to resolve last years budget mess so we can tackle the bigger challenges facing job creation. Click here to watch the address:

House Republicans Passed a Bill 43 Days Ago to Cut Spending, Keep the Government Running; Senate Democrats Still Haven't Taken Action

Forty-three days after the House passed H.R. 1, Senate Democrats still haven't passed a bill or offered a credible plan to cut spending and keep the government running. Time is running out.

Heres a look at Senate Democrats playbook for budget negotiations: 1) refuse to pass a bill, 2) root for a government shutdown, and 3) paint the spending cuts demanded by the American people as extreme.

WATCH: Speaker Boehner says there is no agreement with Senate Democrats and that Republicans are fighting for the largest spending cuts possible.

First-term Republican lawmakers rallied outside the Capitol Building last week urging the Senate to pass a bill. Read the letter from GOP freshmen to Senate Democratic leaders.

WATCH: Speaker Boehner says if Democrats have a plan they should pass the damn thing.

Remember: were only in this mess because the Democrat-run Congress failed to even propose a budget last year.

Cutting Spending Is Part of Republicans Effort to Create a Better Environment for Job Growth

Here is a by-the-numbers analysis of the March jobs report. Republicans are focused on creating a better environment for private sector job growth by getting control of government spending, ending the threat of tax hikes, removing regulatory barriers to job growth (like ObamaCare), and approving stalled trade agreements to open new markets for American exports.

WATCH: Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan warns that America faces a crushing burden of debt that is hurting job creation today and threatening our children's prosperity tomorrow. Economists agree.

The House voted to save taxpayers $30 billion by cancelling another TARP bailout program.

New surveys show independents back Republicans in the fight to cut spending to create a better environment for private sector job growth.

Of note: since the American people started speaking out, the debate in Washington has fundamentally shifted from whether to cut spending to how much. Read more.

Republicans Rev Up American Energy Initiative to Address Rising Gas Prices, Create Jobs

Republicans introduced three bills to stop Washington policies that are driving up gas prices and increasing energy production. Democrats are recycling the same old job-crushing policies.

By expanding American energy production,Speaker Boehner said, We can help create more jobs, lower costs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

Representatives for American farmers, truckers, and small businesses told Congress that rising gas prices threaten jobs, and the Obama Administrations anti-energy policies aren't helping.

The Washington Times says gas prices have doubled since President Obama took office and began blocking American energy production and imposing policies that drive up prices.

Surveys show Americans back key elements of the American Energy Initiative, including new offshore energy exploration and production.

Don't forget to check out the American Energy Initiative on Facebook.

The House Energy & Commerce Committee voted to repeal several mandatory spending slush funds in ObamaCare, and small business owners are speaking out against the health care law.

MUST READ: The House Ways & Means Committee released a new report that shows AARP stands to make $1 billion over 10 years from ObamaCare, the AARP-backed health care law that funds the creation of a massive new entitlement program at the expense of seniors. Read more.

WATCH: Leslys Story, a new video on the successful DC school choice program that was reauthorized by the House of Representatives last week.

As always, we appreciate your interest in the new House majority and encourage you to stay connected with the Office of the Speaker on Facebook, Twitter, and on Speaker.gov. Have a great week!

Well at least everyone here can read the Speaker of the House John Boehner's message to us. And decide if there is any truth in it. And getting back to the Democrats and Obama do you see any much job creation done by them?
I for one think the Republicans are right about it this time. That is just my opinion and you have a right to your opinion. Maybe you are right, I am no expert on politics. I am just posting here to help keep people informed on some of the things going on.

I agree with you munster. Nothing is getting done in Congress. The Republicans block anything and everything. Part of it is the Dems fault. They need stronger leaders. Reid and Obama need a spine. They both concede too easily.

Their agenda is to undo ANY and ALL Democratic policy since the 1940's, Then and ONLY then will they DO something......which won't ever happen. As soon as they SMASH the Dems...Then the swastikas and brown shirts will come out. All the safety nets will be gone, people will be left ON THEIR OWN to survive and downward and downward we go. Nothing good can come from a POLICY of ABSOLUTISM from wealthy elite minded nationalists. Germany tried that and peasants and the nationally UNDESIRABLE were marched to the CAMPS and ovens in the process.Give them time and complete control and You will see a LAW written in some devilish way that would allow people without a JOB to be considered criminals and incarcerated. They already consider us lowlifes, lazy and useless and this is by their own words and actions in the last 2 years.

The Dems are not innocent but I look at both and I see 2 evils. I just LOOK and see which one has DONE the LEAST and that always fall on the RIGHT every time.

IMHO the whole party system needs to be gutted, Money and corporate influence REMOVED. But you see the MAIN problem in this all IS human GREED, LUST for power and the Subjugation of lesser people. Thats the REAL problem. And history has proven, TIME and time again throughout history that THIS is true. If you legislate morality, THEN "WHO's" morality is it that is the correct one? Who decides???
As I see it now in this conflict of parties, One is MORE immoral than the other and I base that on their DEEDS and WORDS so far. The GOP is more evil than the Dems at this point. Their stance and actions so far proves it. Things that HURT average common MIDDLE class people IS BAD. Things that REWARD the wealthy WHO do NOTHING constructive and helpful to the NATION or Economy is EVIL.
Profit at ANY cost is NOT a good thing no matter which way it gets twisted.

Right,
And the thing is what would a person born into wealth understand about what the average American goes through in their daily survival?
We have to make the decision right now wither to pay our rent or go without food. They only have the decision of what will they wear to the latest function, or should they jet to Paris for a gourmet lunch or the Rivera.
I wish that was the only decisions we had to make.

They KNOW NOTHING and like in France in time they LOST their heads when the people got pissed enough. Unfortunately Most if not all in DC are wealthy. WHO are they with all their wealth to make LAWS and decisions to GOVERN us who will NEVER see as much as they have. They are NO better than ANY of the Aristocracies of the past. You can only keep people so stupid for so long on beer, football and American Idol. Take away a persons livelihood through greed and deception and you have a revolution in the making. But I no longer wish to TAKE any orders from ANY rich person from ANY side. The House of Representatives was designed to be the PEOPLE forum. I don't SEE much of the PEOPLE being represented. I just see a bunch of RICH people playing socialist WITCH hunt or burn the "Black" president games.

Post by lendmeflight2 Mon Apr 04, 2011 3:34 am

It really doesn't matter if the democrats are bad or not. They do not have to be the polar opposites of the republican for me to make a decision. Of course I am not happy with what the democrats have done but the republicans have done nothing pass bills that will make the matter worse. Sure they are going to make spending cuts. These cuts will cost 700,000 jobs. That is 700,000 more people that will directly competing with us looking for work. This will naturally cause even less retail demand which will spiral into more unemployed workers. But this is what the people want? Right, I don't think the people have thought this through. I think the people are starting see that they didn't get what they paid for in 2010.

You are always going to have those "flag, constitution, flag, democrats are socialists" people but I think a lot of people are changing their minds now. The next presidential election will be really close, maybe the closest one ever, but I don't see people voting for a republican in it. They will probably be lucky if they don't lose the senate though.

But Munster is right, I am tired of listening rich men tell me what is best for me. There is a fierce struggle coming if things do not change.
Frederick Douglas said it best:

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.

Great stuff from Frederick Douglas. It's so sad that there are VERY few in DC that can actually orate well anymore. I think thats part of the problem. Hell we have a Speaker who grumbles and others who mumble and the rest just fumble. Laughing Laughing Laughing
