It does not matter if you personally like or dislike Obama. You need to flood his e-mail box with e-mails that tell him that, even if the House passes this bill, he needs to veto it. It is already impossible to live on Social Security alone. If the government gives benefits to illegal aliens who never contributed, where does that leave those of us who have paid into Social Security all our working lives?

The Senate voted this week to allow 'illegal' aliens access to Social Security benefits. Here is an opportunity to let the president know that it should require citizenship for eligibility to that social service.

If you do not want to sign it, please just forward it to everyone you know.

The government claims Social Security is going broke soon.

Yet they offer to give it away to millions of illegal aliens who have never even worked under social security and never earned any benefits.

How come then an American cannot collect Social Security unless they have earned enough quarters to qualify for benefits?

Yet if you are an illegal alien you automatically qualify for benefits even if you never worked under Social Security or even if you never worked in your life?

This is outrageous insult to Americans who are struggling to survive.

And this will really cause Social Security to go broke.

It seems like a plan by our government to make sure Americans go broke and wind up in the street. They are cutting off jobs, unemployment benefits and now Social Security for Americans.

And I also got a message that the government is trying to pass a bill so that now Americans cannot make any money out of inventions.

Seems like they are trying to cut us off from any and every source of income.

Last I heard SS had a 2.7 trillion dollar surplus. I will send a message for ya

Well, since no one in the past 6 hours has been able to give me a link on open congress for this, and since I didn't find it in any searches, I am going to assume that this didn't really happen. The senate did not vote to give social security benefits to illegal aliens.


The rally for "back off social security" was about keeping the republican's hands off social security.
