Republicans who were among the most vocal advocating for aggressive U.S. intervention against Muammar Qaddafi now are criticizing Obama for failing to explain his goals in participating in air and missile strikes in Libya. At the same time, some congressional Democrats have called on Obama to come to Congress for authorization to use force in the conflict.

Palin, traveling in India over the weekend, said there would have been “less dithering and more decisiveness” had she -- rather than Obama -- been responding to the turmoil in Libya.

Just like Slim Pickens in Dr stranglove.....

But just like sarah can see russia from her front porch...she has a neighbor thats of middleeastern descent...so she knows about the arab world too...or was it an arab deli she worked at in highschool????

I am not opposed to spending money to save lives...NOT an expert on libya
but there appears to be trouble in mostly ALL the middleast...Yemen, Bahrain...What really worries the US is trouble spreading towards saudi arabia....

You pretty much have to be knowledgable about tribes and tribal loyalty, religious factional alliences etc. etc....

Bahrain I think it is has ties to the saudi royal family and the revolts have been put down brutally there...and it appears the other members of the king of bahrains tribe are now calling for a change in Government...so who knows....

There are supposedly over a million foriegn workers in eminent danger in libya...they need protection, but that may be the reason for UN involvement....If not for all the foriegn nationals in libya........
and I don't know the number of foreigners in other Oil rich countries...
