Quote of the day.
I decided to start this topic after seeing my fortune cookie I just opened up.
Please share any and all worth reputable quotes.
My Quote is
"In youth and beauty wisdom is rare".
Does this mean that you either need to be old, or ugly to have wisdom?
After all beauty is in the eye of the beholder right?

Re: Quote of the day.
This is a topic that is right up my alley. Who are we to judge what beauty and wisdom is? Especially when both of these characteristics are usually associated with wealth.
Cant one be Beautiful and Wise? Or as the jobless in ma said we have to be one or the other.
Why cant one be both?

Re: Quote of the day.
lol! Not at all! It means that as children we do foolish things, that is how we learn and grow. It also covers the people who think that beauty is everything and that is their focus in life, all glamor and self-centered. Narcistictic people only concentrate on themselves and don't bother to get involved with anything other than themselves. Life is a learning process, and if you can't look beyond yourself, wisdom is lost.
As far as beauty being in the eye of the beholder, I agree with you. We all have our different opinions on the meaning of beauty.

Of course you can be both. Even an ugly person that thinks they are beautiful can be stupid. Looks aren't everything you know.

Not in my experience. I am a 2xl person with 2xl heart. The average person is taught to scrutinize and not judge for themselves.

Then I am not the average person as nuwanda seems to be. Beauty in your soul not your looks.
