There's going to be a lot more of this ... I'd just like to know why Congress is sitting on its hands while this is going on.

It's becoming more and more known to Americans ... I just want to know what the tipping point is going to be for Congress to take this seriously.

This is so sad. I've been hearing that there are a lot of unemployed committing suicide over the unemployment problem here in our country. You would think that Congress would show some backbone and get off their rear-ends and pass some sort of unemployment compensation act, perhaps even requiring unemployed workers collecting benefits to be actively involved in job searching or volunteer for some company or agency ... maybe a church or community center.

I agree this is very sad. I have also read about murder-suicides in my area because the family's homes were being foreclosed on.
They paint a rosy picture that the economy is improving but from where I stand it is only getting worse.

Congress really does need to stop playing games and pass this bill simply because the American People aren't going to wait too much longer. I just don't see our country sitting by and waiting for someone to develop the courage and to take a stand.
Our country is really turning a new page in history and this is going to be a defining year. The volatility of the stock market, the crisis in Japan, the uprisings in the Middle East ... it's all coming to a head and we're seeing the beginning stages of a maelstrom that will envelope the whole world.

Yeah, its very sad. When government and society collectively turns its back on you and takes away your livelyhood, most people have little choice but to turn their anger on themselves, because there's never 1 person or group responsible enough for your situation to lash out against.
