There are no excuses left. Either you join the revolt taking place on Wall Street and in the financial districts of other cities across the country or you stand on the wrong side of history. Either you obstruct, in the only form left to us, which is civil disobedience, the plundering by the criminal class on Wall Street and accelerated destruction of the ecosystem that sustains the human species, or become the passive enabler of a monstrous evil. Either you taste, feel and smell the intoxication of freedom and revolt or sink into the miasma of despair and apathy. Either you are a rebel or a slave.

It’s never going to get any better, don’t look for it, be happy with what you’ve got.

Because the owners, the owners of this country don't want that. I'm talking about the real owners now, the BIG owners! The Wealthy… the REAL owners! The big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions.

Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want:

They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests.

Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that!

You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this fucking place! Its a big club, and you ain’t in it! You, and I, are not in the big club.

By the way, its the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care! Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means, continue to elect these rich cock suckers who don’t give a fuck about you….they don’t give a fuck about you… they don’t give a FUCK about you.

They don’t care about you at all… at all… AT ALL. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Thats what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick thats being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth.

United Steelworkers announce support for ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protest

“The United Steelworkers union stands in solidarity with and strongly supports Occupy Wall Street,” Leo W. Gerard, International President of the United Steelworkers, said in a statement.

“The brave men and women, many of them young people without jobs, who have been demonstrating around-the-clock for nearly two weeks in New York City are speaking out for the many in our world. We are fed up with the corporate greed, corruption and arrogance that have inflicted pain on far too many for far too long.”

United Steelworkers has 850,000 members in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.

I saw Michael Moore talking about it on C-Span and some public affairs programs on the radio devoted a whole segment to the protests. Some people have tried to paint them as whining kids but now that Moore and Susan Sarandon and unions have joined in solidarity they'll have to revise that view.

Wall Street protesters dress as zombies in NYC

NEW YORK -- Protesters speaking out against corporate greed and other issues in New York City are dressing as corporate zombies and greeting Wall Street workers as they head into the office.

Patrick Bruner, a spokesman for the group, says Occupy Wall Street demonstrators are being urged to dress in business wear with white faces and blood, and will march while eating monopoly money. He says financial workers should see them "reflecting the metaphor of their actions."

Demonstrators Planning Rush-Hour March Through Boston

Occupy Boston has been staging protests in Dewey Square since last week. Another demonstration is planned for 8 a.m. Monday, with a morning rush-hour march from the Greenway near South Station to Beacon Hill.

"There are a lot people that are going to be trying to go to work," said Jason Potteiger, an Occupy Boston organizer. "We're not really trying to make anybody's lives any more difficult. We're trying to raise awareness about some important issues."

Sorry haven't checked in on this site in a while, out here in Oregon thing are starting to get going. Occupy Eugene has had two GA meetings in the last five days and we're having a third tomorrow. We will have two more later in the week then we will start our occupation of Eugene on Oct. 10th. Two of our members are meeting with the mayor of Eugene today to ask her if the city could ignore the no camping ordinance and let us use one of the city parks to camp in. We had a march through town Saturday just to talk to people and pass out fliers trying to gain more support. One of our “leaders” had interviews with a couple local TV station that should air tonight.

Riverside had its first General Assembly and we had over 100 people! (We are quite conservative. Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina won in both of our counties - instead of Jerry Brown and Barbara Boxer!)
We picked a pedestrian mall leading to City Hall and in front of Wells Fargo for our Occupy Riverside. It's open 24/7 and has public restrooms. (The businesses have been trying to kick the homeless out for a decade!)
We are meeting on Thursday for logistics and start date, though many were willing to begin tonight...

Tomorrow is going to be a rockin' day in NYC!!

Just got back from the third GA meeting the weather was windy, wet and cold but we're heating up. Each meeting get better and scarier, we're getting food, medical, security and legal issue nailed down. The scary side is there are so many college students and Anarchist in Eugene I'm afraid it could get out of hand real quick.

Same here, lstjr. As soon as I arrived last night it started pouring. Groups were formed to take care of the issues you mentioned. Now the local press is covering us. It is scary to think about needing medics, lawyers, etc., but I don't think this one will get out of hand. There are 7 colleges within a few miles of the event, and hoping they get involved.
