11 Things You Can Do to Help the 'Occupy Wall Street' Movement

Post by Guest on Wed Sep 21, 2011 10:02 am

These patriot occupiers are fighting for 99 percent of us. Those who are unemployed, uninsured, underemployed and totally insecure in the face of ever increasing social and financial inequities. They are standing up for those who cannot be there right now.

Here's the good news -- you can help, right now today -- no matter where you are.

So many great ideas. Sign the petition. We actually did pull out of "our" bank and go to a credit union about 6 months ago as "our" protest. I use the "our" because after 3 years, I contribute nothing but birthday money or Christmas money, but luckily, I am never made to feel like it's not my money too. We have been paying cash and not charging for reasons of our fiscal responsibility, if we can't pay cash, we are not charging it, we just can't afford to. Also, we don't know what the banks are liable to try and do as far as changes, so we don't want to be caught unaware.

And as far as the credit unions go, we got a sponsor, (someone who already banks there) it was that easy.
