Already stymied in its attempts to pass the bill in full, as well as in pieces, the administration has few if any avenues remaining. Putting portions of the plan into the super committee's recommendations would increase the chances that they would pass. Any proposal, should it get through the 12-member bipartisan committee, would be granted the equivalent of parliamentary immunity; lawmakers would be prohibited from amending or filibustering the measure, which would come to a vote at the end of December.

While interviewing economists on the possiblity of a double dip recession and yesterday's stock reports, Bloomberg's Michael McKee directly asked them, is it over, are we safe yet. The answer overwhelmingly was no. Unemployment is still driving the recession, housing as well. This supercommittee has to go big or go home, as the mandatory clause, if enacted, will surely get us a well deserved downgrade, not just because of the economy, but because of the lack of leadership in Congress to do anything about it, which includes Revenue, Tax increases and cuts. You can call it anything you want, but it has to be there. But their message was clear, cuts, spending and taxes have to be on the table for it to balance properly. If they don't do it, they will be responsible for our next downgrade. Interesting note:
Every economist they have interviewed for the last two weeks places our downgrade with Congress. Obama Administration Eyes Super Committee As 'Avenue' To Move Jobs Bill 34243

All members, check this out, even the super committee gets a NO from House Republicans:

Don't they realize that if they don't act, mandatory rules will be set in place, large cuts, taxes and another downgrade.?
