Re: UF2 Members Chat Thread: Part 3
First topic message reminder :
I'd love to get outside and start cleaning my perennial garden, but I know we are going to have another frost. I can see shoots starting to come up but don't want to rake the fall debris out yet. It is good insulation against the frost. At least the trees are starting to turn green. That is a happy sight after this winter - I never thought we would see the grass again with all the snow we had!

I have spent it weeding and mowing my yard for the first time this year. I am going to get cleaned up and go to Denny's for the free breakfast and then watch the ball game. I hope we can win for a change!

Re: UF2 Members Chat Thread: Part 3
I discovered something interesting at the library---free computer classes. I signed up for a two hour Excel class and went last night. There is an Excel II class next week and I am on the waiting list. Quite a few were no-shows last night so I have a good chance of getting in. I am going to sign-up for all the Word classes too. I just never learned Excel. I can install and troubleshoot it, but never got into the application support. It was a good class and I learned a lot.
There were a lot of other non-computer classes too. Just thought I'd share this in case anyone wants to brush up or learn something new.

Thanks Mo. Wish they had them here, I would be on it in a minute. Have a little experience in it, but not savvy. Would love to update all my skills. This is a great idea. Maybe all libraries will catch on.

You're sure your library doesn't offer classes? I had no idea mine did either until I started looking for a free Excel class.

Thanks Mo, no I did check. Actually they have cut hours and some are only open on certain days, it's happening in Phila. as well. The dreaded budget axe.
Hope you are well.

MK, sorry to hear that. It makes me wonder how my library is able to do it.

Thanks for the info Mo! Definitely something I am going to look into here in my town. I know our library cut back hours significantly sue to lack of money, but its worth a shot.

Well I'm glad that I didn't buy the a/c. My son's friend just came over with a 8000 btu a/c that he gave me because he bought a new one. It works great!!!!! Now I'm set for the heat waves!
