Re: UF2 Members Chat Thread: Part 3
First topic message reminder :
I'd love to get outside and start cleaning my perennial garden, but I know we are going to have another frost. I can see shoots starting to come up but don't want to rake the fall debris out yet. It is good insulation against the frost. At least the trees are starting to turn green. That is a happy sight after this winter - I never thought we would see the grass again with all the snow we had!

I have spent it weeding and mowing my yard for the first time this year. I am going to get cleaned up and go to Denny's for the free breakfast and then watch the ball game. I hope we can win for a change!

You know we yard sale and last weekend we did good just over 200 bucks. We spent over 100 on our animals flea and tick stuff and food. Now the town to the north of me wants to star a yard sale tax. Great lets give oil companies tax breaks but tax yard sale people. Lucky for me I live in a VERY blue town and they will not have it here.

Re: UF2 Members Chat Thread: Part 3
well, what started out as a nice sunny day here in ct. has turned into an overcast day. We are now heading out to my son's house for a Mother's Day cookout - should be nice, both sons and both grandsons all together. Glad they are having hamburgers and hot dogs because my son is also grilling salmon and I never had it and I don't know if I like it. Anyways Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers here and hope you are relaxing and being tended to and hope you are all feeling special.

“"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States (1913-1921) after signing the Federal Reserve into existence

I hope no one minds me asking this question here, but I couldn't find the answer in FAQs or Rules.
How many posts do I need before I'm allowed to send a PM?
Thanks!

Re: UF2 Members Chat Thread: Part 3
Spent the afternoon filling out a federal job application. Long process.
I called my reps this morning. They are sick of hearing from me. I am really sick of them.
I've been working outside in my yard trying to get it to recover from winter. Feels good to be mowing and moving and sweating.
I have been donating plasma. First two netted me $100. From here on out, it drops to $55 a week.
My food stamps included the $80 refrigerated food loss from the tornado induced power outage. Salvation Army case worker called me up and said I qualified for FEMA help. Went there on Friday, waited in line and got $50 for gas and $100 check for food. I was hoping I could get TP, but was for food only. I had to buy all $100 worth at once. I never buy that much at once! Mayonnaise and other condiments do add up quickly though.
Haven't been here much lately. Hope everyone is doing okay and calling their reps.

After a 4 month drought, I finally have a face to face interview scheduled for next week! I interviewed with this company a few months back, now they are ready to hire and called me back!!!
Pretty sad when we celebrate interviews, but I have a good feeling about this one!
