I'm a new member and just want to vent

Hello,
I'm a wife of an unemployed truck driver in California. His umemployment not just ran out the 3rd week of December, he had a heart attack the same week.
He spent a week in the hospital, received 4 stents and was told to take it easy, no work (ha) for a month. Well, he never made it back to looking for work because, the stents did not work....he had a quadruple bypass in March.
Now, he is not just unemployed with no income....we don't think he can get disability either!
He paid into disability all his life and now when he needs it, he can't get it. We were told since he wasn't employed when he became disabled, he out of luck. Too bad he's paid into disablity, but thats the way it goes!
So, here we sit, losing our house and day and no income. I've even signed up for food stamps. Well, at least we can eat.
Too top it off.....my husband just turned 45. Two days after his heart surgery!
I used to say at least we had our health. Well, not no more. We never knew he had heart problems. I assume his doctors never thought he was in any danger of a heart attack. So life goes on I guess.....

Welcome to UFF2, IM sorry to hear of your troubles, thats horrible what you and hubby been through.
