Unemployment extension 2014 maybe
I thought it means something to have 3 links to proposed extensions of EUC, when the bottom literately drops out at the end of 2013.
the links are on the page for renewals of EUC....call me the eternal optimist
it is precisely because i CANT figure out what Washington does that maybe they WILL pass this....hmmmmm

They are going to pass their Budget Deal and go home. I don't think the decision to leave out continuing EUC was popular among some in Congress, but their approval ratings would be in negative territory if we went through another shutdown. The unemployment were sold out.

Re: Unemployment extension 2014 maybe
Here's some hope from a CNN Politics article. The extension will be delayed, but may be passed as a separate issue from the budget when congress comes back after the holidays.
"Liberal Democrats insist the budget plan should extend long-term unemployment benefits set to expire at the end of the year. However, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said the issue would be considered separately in 2014.
White House spokesman Jay Carney said Congress should take up the unemployment insurance extension but did not insist that it be part of the budget package".

Well, you know what the far right stance has always been, (in a nazil, whiny voice) "How are we going to pay for it!".

I hope that 3 month extension is only to buy them time in order to come up with a bill to extend for the rest of the year. They've done that in the past.
