On Good Morning America today they said the unemployment rate while dissapointing and only adding 200,000 jobs had lowered to 8.2%
I wish they would survey how many people that NO LONGER COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT are still out of work. This is REALLY why the #'s keep dropping.

I believe the "official" job numbers were down graded to 140,000, with retail taking a hit. They also mentioned the 5 million who have given up!
I don't know anyone who has given up, do you? It's a BS was of saying "Exhaustees" AND there are more than 5 million of us!!

The only thing this Exhaustee/99er has given up on is The U.S. Government! They seem to fail at just about everything. As for me...I fight to still look for work & hope that someday I will be one of the ones with a post that reads finally after 3 years of unemployment I am working again.

Yahoo is laying off 2,000 workers in CA. JC Penney is going to lay off about 500 in a Texas call center and even more in stores they will be closing. This should reflect in next month's job numbers.

YEO! Wow!
They should just recognize that we are not in a "Recovery" and are in a "Depression!"

Give me a freaking break!! Once you exhaust your UI benefits, you're no longer considered. What's worse, the BLS makes a few phone calls and that pool is where they capture their statistics!! Has anybody here been polled? No? I'm shocked. These numbers are so bogus it is pathetic - the United States uses these faux statistics the same way an indebted person does - to create a false impression of wealth. Independent groups have shown the true unemployment figure of 25% - when even most of the employed are contractors or part-time without benefits. Aren't you proud? Do so many really lack a work ethic? It's a disgrace and immoral that so many whole communities and families are now impoverished - the ghettoization of Amerika on behalf of corporate profit and dividends to scumbag CEOs and bureaucrats who are their willing henchmen. On Good Morning America today they said the unemployment rate while disappointing and only adding 200,000 jobs had lowered to 8.2%
It's Tumbril Time!
A tumbril (n.) a dung cart used for carrying manure, now associated with the transport of prisoners to the guillotine during the French Revolution.
