Yes he did...but unfortunately NO MENTION OF 99ers or Exhaustees. POTUS always refers to Long-term unemployed but the white house defintion of LTU is 6 months meaning they would still be collecting UI benefits.
So when he uses terms like pass unemployment benfits for the long-term unemployed that does not console me. When he says Pass UI Extensions including the Exhaustees or 99ers then I would feel as if he was really concerned about us. The public which doesn't seem to care about us and those working do not understand all the UI programs think we are getting help when he says long-term unemployed.
I have to explain then, they tell me I don't know what I am talking about...AAAArrrrrggghhh frustrating, especially when it's family memebers who don't get it.

I hear you and I hope that they do consider the 99ers. I also hope that they don't slash the benefits to 79 weeks as they are considering doing. It's not fair to those of us who haven't even had the 99 weeks... It's just not... We should be entitled to as benefits for the same amount that other people have had.

Marian...couldn't agree more. I think they should do everything they can until unemployment is below 7%. It's just doesn't fly to cut benefits for anybody to me. If we had a repulican POTUS then they would help..but we don't and they won't!
So we will keep on keep'n on until we all have REAL JOBS! & will fight for continued help until REAL JOBS are a reality.
