Before rumors start flying, I wanted to be sure that nobody is under the misconception of the status of this bill. "H.R. 589" still remains in committee and has NOT been defeated. What it needs is Republican support to move it out of committee. Unless Republicans sign on to the bill, it's looking like it may not get out of the House Ways and Means Committee.

Contact your representative and ask them to sign on to support this bill. Unemployed American workers desperately need this bill.
