GOP senators angry about Reid claim they are rooting for failure

Post by Guest on Wed Oct 19, 2011 8:31 am

A growing number of Democrats, especially junior members of the caucus, are growing impatient with the chamber’s atmosphere of genteel deadlock.

Their rising irritation has emboldened them to join Reid in pointedly questioning the GOP’s intentions, something that would have been unthinkable in the recent past.

Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) said Reid’s description is accurate of some Republicans, but added that others have expressed interest in supporting bipartisan jobs legislation.

“Some Republicans — they look at everything through the lens of how it affects them politically, and that element is gaining more influence in the Republican Conference.”

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) said, “I’ll take Harry’s word for it.”

We should be helping Harry spread the word about this too by doing what the President asked last week and contacting every member of Congress to tell them to act NOW!

(Thank you Senator Whitehouse!)

If the republicans take offense to this, then they should start doing SOMETHING. Since the "jobs" election in November, they have voted on Less Healthcare and choice for women, repealing Obamacare, less regulations for safety and worker rights, but not once, a jobs bill. So if you dont want to be insulted, do SOMETHING.

AND, DESPERATE IN RI IS RIGHT, START SCREAMING. The occupy movement is spreading the word about the big picture, we all need to concentrate here on JOBS, BENEFITS, JOBS, JOBS, JOBS.

I think if the Republicans vote down this smaller jobs bill for teachers and first responders. We have no choice, but to recall all these politicians immediately.

This why the 99% is so important. The police should be thankful that were taking action.
