Congrats to GethemInNovember!

Just wanted to share with you that GethemInNovember is going back to work next week after a horrible bout of unemployment.
Gethem has been a strong advocator for the unemployed for a long time and a very valuable member of our community.

Thanks for the shoutout, I wish we all could just go back to work and have one big party.

I am getting a blackberry for the job and a work truck so I can check in but I hate typing on those things. Its only Mon-thur but its something.

I am still going to play the lotto each week if I hit big I will look ya all up.

I will be home around 4 each day and Friday I can give them hell all day, I am off plus the weekends.

I will be Donalds trumps new hair. Yep I get to ride on top of Trumps hair all day. Can't wait to meet the next wife he outsources. If she can't speak english she can't read a pre-nup .

NO NO I will be taking water and soil samples around chemical companies and construction sites to make sure they are not hurting the wlidlife or your kids. Plus going to peoples houses and testing water. No plumbing or instaling water softners for me.

Tonight I will have a few drinks and watch the yanks beat the rangers!

I take it cause you like the Yanks you are from New York. So when you get done testin the water around there, head south to my neck of the woods. Chesapeak needs some real cleaning up. I remember when we could just go to Giant, buy some cheap chicken necks and go crabbin off the peer near my house. Now if you eat one of those suckers you'd probably die from pollution poisoning. Place I was thrown out of after twenty years was one of the biggest to dump chemicles in the bay at Sparrows Point. Aholes did that forever before they got fined. Then they packed up most of their jobs and left.

Anyway nice knowing ya. Lets have a beer sometime at Camden Yards. I'll by. Hey, remember that snotty lady who said to ya lets do lunch? The one who got banned? That was a trip. You sure took care of her. lol. Look me up and we'll have a few at the ESPN Bar before we head to the O's game. Your buyin- you got the job.

Okay, I guess I have to chime in here. I have been avoiding this, not because I don't wish you well, but because you will be greatly missed.

In a little over a year, you have become a cherished friend. We have supported each other, laughed, cried and "gone to battle" together. Whenever I felt I couldn't do it anymore, along came getthem, or Darthtater to make me laugh and give me hope.

I know someday, our day will come when we can say we are "going back to work on Monday." I can't wait for that day. Not only to have a job again and re-enter the world of the living, but I hope we can all get together, yes you too JIM ( ), and celebrate our new lives. It is going to be one hell of a party! And I am serious, we will get together. The only "good" thing that has come out of this hell of unemployment is the people I've met and the friends I have made. Even in this short time, I feel I have known you most of my life.

You have worked hard, going to school, searching for jobs and advocating for the unemployed, even when you had nothing to benefit from it. You deserve the best. I am proud to call you my friend.

I am glad to know that you have a job in the field you love - protecting the environment. I understand you will be doing some testing of water along the Hudson River. In parting, all I can say is..DON'T FALL IN!!

Seriously, the Forum and Twitter will seem empty to me without you here. I could always count on you to brighten my day.

I wish you the best and will be thinking of you on Monday (and everyday). We will meet soon and celebrate - we deserve it!

Hey getthem I am glad it came through as you said. Four day work week sounds nice and not having to be stuck in an office does too.
