March 21...is a long way off. What do we do until then? What happened to HR589? MIA?

So are our Congressmen/women! MIA and having fun while we wonder how we will get through each day. I will be attending the rally tomorrow night in RI to show support for the WI workers. I'm sure there will be many, many unemployed people there as this state is a complete wasteland when it come to jobs.

ET, they are taking a week long President's Day holiday. Beyond that I'm not sure.

No problem one thing I am good at is spreading info. I am going to reach out to 99ers I have seen in the news and others who are active and outspoken. I am tired of messing around. Its time to recruit.

Re: Unemployed set to rally.
This is what I heard from Rhonda Taylor about HR589: The bill will not move without the republicans willing to get it out of ways and means committee and speaker of the house willing to allow it to come to the floor.
It really, really looks bad for us.

We have to make the Republicans look bad for not allowing it to come to the floor. Have to get something organized, twitter, email and media attention. Need everybody to do it. People have to realize they must get involved and not sit back and let just a few do the work. I am going to try to get to the Statehouse here late this afternoon for the RI rally.
That video about Mark's suicide drew a lot of attention on twitter for Sick & Tired and when I posted it on my FB page, I got a lot of comment from good friends who weren't even aware of how bad things were.
The unemployed really have to pull it together now, no more time to waste. No reason at all why we can't do what they did in WI.
