Tiers of Unemployment & New Vote on Extension
My state Unemployment Website says:
Tier 1 is for 14 weeks.
Tier 2 is for 14 weeks.
Tier 3 is for 9 weeks.
That's a total of 37 weeks.
My benefits have been exhausted at 26 weeks as if today. ??? I should have 11 weeks left.
I called and left a question on an answering machine but don't really expect to get a response.
It also says that I have maxed out my benefits but I'm not exactly sure how that happened after 26 weeks. I had my last job that I had for over 2 years. Now, suddenly, my benefits are maxed after 26 weeks?
AND... moments ago I saw where there is supposed to be a vote on extending unemployment benefits on Thursday, 2/06/14. Since my benefits were just stopped, should I, could I continue to file in hopes that they get extended? How does that work? Does anybody know?

Re: Tiers of Unemployment & New Vote on Extension
Fed EUC benefits ended dec 28th 2013 for everybody.
ALL the proposed extensions elude to NEW tiers
Tier 1= 6 weeks
Tier 2 = 6 weeks
Tier 3 unchanged 9 weeks same trigger 7%
They are having an awful time even getting this reduced amout through congress..
Yes you continue to file, they will be retroactive (lump sum)
