The H-1B visa SCAMS
The myth of America's missing software engineers
http://management.fortune.cnn.com/2013/08/05/immigration-h1b-visas-tech-jobs/
There is a scam that tech employers are using to hire foreigners and keep Americans out of work. Companies are hiring overseas candidates instead of qualified local candidates because our lawmakers have made it 5 times cheaper to hire a foreigner than an American. There isn't a shortage of talent in America, there is an excess of greed by tech companies that don't care about America. Here are a few quotes from the article.
"While the titans of Silicon Valley are calling for immigration reform that will allow them to nab foreign computer gurus to fill open engineering jobs, one of their own has crunched the numbers and discovered that may not be necessary."...
"Bright's analysis reveals that for the top 10 jobs where H-1B visas are requested, only three do not currently have enough qualified American jobseekers to satisfy demand."
"Policymakers ought to probe the need for foreign technology workers and the intentions of those looking to hire them. A good start would be a close examination of the job titles, the actual roles, and the actual salaries of H-1B workers to see if this program has actually become a tool to drive down wages."

Re: The H-1B visa SCAMS
Thanks Citizen!
This article is very infuriating, one because thy're doing it, two because they're getting away with it and three, because they will continue to do it.
I remember from my own experience when my former company first bought them in, they kept to themselves, in their own cubicle, but they smiled alot when they passed you in the hall. About a year ago, I went back to see a former (American) co-worker for lunch. Now, the same office is practically all foreigners, and instead of smiling at you when they pass you in the hall, they practically push you out of the way!

Is there an app for H-1B violators?
Is there an app for finding companies that use H-1B workers? If 7 out of 10 companies that use H-1B workers are misreporting their employee needs, then that is a majority that are not playing by the rules. If a company is making a lot of money by replacing American workers with foreigners who can be obtained at a lesser cost, then boycott them. All of them. Maybe Congress will rethink their policy of giving jobs to foreigners now that Americans are hungry, homeless, and out of work because foreigners have taken their jobs. Immigration reform is just a ploy to give more American jobs to foreigners in the guise of helping businesses, but it will destroy the lives of Americans.
